It's a well built, not a bad-looking machine. I use it away from the mains without worrying about battery life. Under light use, with the background light set to a low but readable level, it can work for five hours. When I watched the “Butterfly Effect-3” on DVD, it kept going for two-and-a-half hours before the battery gave up. The speakers are loud enough to fill a small room, while the screen looks fantastic thanks to its glossy finish. I could call this as all-round entertainment machine. I've added a USB TV tuner easily. And I'm going to upgrade it for a DVD writer next month, and then this machine will really become a bomb! :)

I'm not disappointed by the Inspiron's speed, display resolution, keyboard. This is perfect for people like me, who is on a tighter budget and battery life is more important than gaming speed.
