I could call Dell D410 a business laptop. Ultraportable, light workstation. It has Intel Centrino mobile processor (1.73GHz), a full size keyboard featuring dual navigation and nice overall design and build. This is the best looking Dell laptop I've seen, it is amazing with its dark charcoal grey and silver finish. The dark finish and industrial looking fan vent also gives this machine a bit of a fantastic look. The laptop doesn't flex. The screen is protected by sturdy lid which also gives a great look. In short, the build is generally good. It has a very nice screen, and I'm happy to use a portable laptop without a widescreen. The screen brightness is good. The speaker is on top of the laptop. But since it is just one speaker there is no stereo sound, so I use headphones or external speakers. Talking about the heat I should note that the temperature of the room environment plays a big role in the laptop's ability to cool. But when my laptop is on a flat surface, in a cool room and is being used for typical business applications then heat buildup isn't a problem. Noise... well, for me it is not a problem. I'm usually listening to music while working and that blocks any fan noise. I'm also happy with it's keyboard. it is large and easy to type on. The touchpad and mouse buttons are of the same size. And thanks to the pointing stick I can easily move the cursor around the screen and use the laptop without a mouse. Built-in wifi...I can say for sure that the wireless connection works well. What about battery...the Dell D410 offers the great battery life, I think/ its about 4 hours. I think that;s all.:)
