Prices & Conditions
Prices are provided as a guide. Actual repair cost will be quoted once the machine has been received by us and we have performed a detailed diagnostic test.Prices are subject to change without notice.
Collection:
We will
send a foam filled security box to ensure your machine arrives with us
in the condition it left you. The security box will be left with you on
the delivery day. Could you then place your machine in the internal
packaging & secure the cable ties as per the instructions included.
Portable Universe will not charge for the collection of your machine.
Data:
We
accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection,
confidentiality or use of such data & it is the customers
responsibility to ensure that such data is removed from the machine
prior to you sending it to us. If
you are concerned about losing your data we recommend you backup all of
your personal data before sending your machine in for repair.
Repairs:
Once we have received the machine it will undergo a detailed diagnostic test to highlight the problem and need for repair. Once this has been done you will be contacted via email or phone with a detailed repair summary and cost.
If you do not wish to continue with the repair we will gladly return your laptop in its original condition. An administration charge of £30 will be applied to cover the cost of processing & return carriage. This charge only applies if you choose to use our collection & return service.
Failure to reply to an offer will result in your machine being retained for a period of 28 days before being recycled or disposed of.
We aim to return your fully repaired machine as soon as possible however this is dependent on parts in stock. We may also need to fully bench test the machine to ensure that the repair has been successful. Both of which may cause delays.
Completion: On the completion of the machines repair we will contact you to take payment of the repair & return delivery. Once payment has been received we will issue you with your return tracking details and return your laptop via our secure courier.
Please note all repairs need to be paid for in full before they can be returned. Failure to do so will result in your machine being retained for a period of 28 days before being recycled or disposed of.
Guarantee & Warranty information:
All of our repairs are covered by our 90 day warranty. This is on parts & labour only. Delivery & any other charges are excluded. In the unlikely event you need to return your machine to us for an In Warranty Repair then we will collect it free of charge. However if the fault is unrelated to the original repair then a charge maybe applied.
