Samsung's super-sized Galaxy View tablet is $599, coming Novembe

Date: 29 Thursday October, 2015

The Galaxy View, Samsung's colossal 18-inch tablet designed for video streaming, will be priced at $599 when it's released on November 6th. That'll get you the Wi-Fi version with 32GB of internal storage; the View also includes a microSD slot for adding more storage should you need it. A US wireless carrier will also be offering a model with built-in LTE, though Samsung still hasn't named which; the likeliest candidate is AT&T. But even for the Wi-Fi only configuration, that's a pretty hefty price for a 1080p tablet — regardless of screen size. You're not exactly paying for breakthrough hardware specifications, either; the Galaxy View is powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and runs Android 5.1.1 out of the box. On the wireless end, it supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Samsung says its latest tablet can last through 8 hours of continuous video playback, and it's got a 5700mAh battery helping to achieve that longevity. Take w look at our Tablets! Cheap. Quality.
